Satellite Channel Markov Model of Ka-band based on Principal Component

چکیده
With the consideration of the existing Ka-band satellite channel model in data processing method deficiency, the Ka-band satellite channel propagation characteristic is analyzed and the influence of meteorological factors on the satellite channel is discussed. The channel of meteorological factor principal component is obtained by using the principal component analysis and fuzzy clustering analysis method is introduced into channel classification. The Ka-band satellite channel multi-sates Markov model is established and simulated finally. By comparing the level crossing rate and average fade duration with the former. The results shown that this proposed channel model is more accurate and effective and it is significant to the Ka-band satellite communication research.

An adaptive hybrid- ARQ scheme combating burst-errors caused by power control lag in Ka-band LEO satellite systems
When power control is employed in a Ka-band LEO satellite system featured with a Markov channel, the long loop lag induces power control gaps during channel state transition, which results in long (large-scale) bursterrors. To combat it, a novel hybrid ARQ scheme is proposed in this paper, in which the side information of the turbo decoder is utilized to derive the average reliability LLRl of t...
متن کاملTypical Ka band Satellite Beacon Receiver Design for Propagation Experimentation
This paper presents the design and simulation of a typical Ka band satellite beacon receiver for propagation experimentation. Using satellite beacon signal as a reference signal in satellite wave propagation study, is one of the most important methods. Satellite beacons are frequently available for pointing large antennas, but such signals can be used for measuring the effect of natural phenome...
متن کاملKa-band link optimization with rate adaptation for Mars and lunar communications
On-going development of Ka-band capability for the Deep Space Networks (DSN) will radically increase the bandwidth available to support advanced mission concepts envisioned for future robotic as well as human exploration of Mars and beyond. While Ka-band links can operate at much higher data rate than X-band, they are much more susceptible to fluctuating weather conditions and manifest a signif...
متن کاملImage-based State Modeling of the Land Mobile Satellite Channel for Multi-satellite Reception
This paper investigates the image-based characterization of the land mobile satellite (LMS) channel. For a comprehensive multi-satellite model, a traditional measurementbased approach is not feasible due to the lack of available satellites at all possible orbital positions and the drawbacks of the measurement system when a high gain tracking antenna is involved (e.g. Ka/Ku band). To overcome th...
